Private Jet to Mallorca
Mallorca is the Mediterranean island Germans fly to most, and one of the easiest arrivals in the Mediterranean: one large airport fifteen minutes from Palma, a general aviation apron that takes any jet, and the whole island within an hour of the aircraft. From Hamburg, Frankfurt or Munich it is a flight of two to three hours.
Which airport for Mallorca.
There is one airport on Mallorca and it takes every jet in the reference fleet, so the only decisions are the slot and whether the aircraft stays or returns to the mainland for the week.
| Airport | To the centre | Runway | Jets that fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Palma de Mallorca PMI | 8 km, 15 min to Palma; Port d'Andratx 40 min, Deià 50 min, Pollença 60 min | 3,270 m | 70 of 70 VIP airliner |
Palma de Mallorca (PMI): One of Europe's busiest holiday airports in summer, with a large general aviation apron, several FBOs and a long runway that takes any aircraft. Slots are coordinated from June to September; a parking position for a week's stay is reserved with the flight, and the airport is open around the clock.
Rule of thumb: published take-off distance at maximum weight, sea level, a standard day and a dry runway. Altitude, weather and airport rules can still rule out an aircraft the runway allows. Check any airport in the runway checker

Mallorca through the year.
Easter. The island opens: hotels in Deià and Port de Sóller from late March, the first warm weekends and an airport still easy to use. Easter falls on 28 March in 2027.
Late April to June. Cyclists on the Tramuntana roads, the Palma International Boat Show, the orange groves at their best; slots are plentiful and the sea is warm from June.
July and August. Peak season for the island and for the airport, with slots coordinated and the general aviation apron full of aircraft parked for the week. Book a Saturday arrival two weeks ahead.
September and October. The quieter season many of our clients prefer: warm sea, open roads, the second cycling season and the grape harvest around Binissalem. Slots loosen after the first week of September.
Christmas and New Year. Mild, often sunny, with Palma's Christmas markets and the hotels in the Tramuntana open; a quiet airport and no slot pressure.
November to February. The island's rest: many coastal restaurants close, Palma stays alive, and the almond blossom arrives in late January. Prices on the short legs from Germany are at their lowest.
Mallorca, in brief.
Where to stay
The island divides by coast and by taste. The west, from Port d’Andratx to Deià and Sóller under the Tramuntana mountains, has the finca hotels and the villas with the views: La Residencia in Deià, Cap Rocat on the bay of Palma, the estates above Andratx. The north around Pollença and Alcúdia is for families and sailing; the south-east, from Portocolom to Santanyí, for quiet coves and the island’s best new hotels. Palma itself is a city break in its own right, with the Sant Francesc and Can Bordoy hotels in the old town and Son Vida’s golf estates twenty minutes above it.
What to do
Sailing and golf fill the calendar: the marinas at Port Adriano, Puerto Portals and Palma, two dozen golf courses, and the Tramuntana roads that bring cyclists in spring and autumn. A day in the mountains is the island’s signature: the train from Palma to Sóller, lunch in Fornalutx, the drive to Sa Calobra. Palma’s cathedral, the Miró foundation and the Saturday market at Santanyí round out a week; the wine villages around Binissalem are an easy afternoon.
Getting around
A car meets the aircraft at the general aviation terminal and the motorway does the rest: Palma in fifteen minutes, Andratx in forty, Deià in fifty, Pollença in an hour. In August the Tramuntana roads and the approach to Port d’Andratx slow in the evening; a helicopter to a villa or a hotel with a landing area takes ten to fifteen minutes and is arranged with the flight. Boats from Puerto Portals reach the coves of the south-west in half an hour.
Good to know
Mallorca keeps central European time, so a German or Swiss departure lands with no jet lag, and the afternoon flight from Hamburg arrives in time for dinner. Palma’s airport is the island’s only one and among Europe’s busiest in summer, which is why the slot and the parking position are part of every summer quote. Cards work everywhere, Catalan and Spanish share the signs, and dinner runs late by German standards.
Before you fly to Mallorca.
How long is a private jet flight to Mallorca from Germany?
About 2 h 40 from Hamburg, 2 h 25 from Düsseldorf, 2 h 15 from Frankfurt and 2 h from Munich, all non-stop. From Zurich it is 1 h 45, from London 2 h 20. A light jet is enough from the south of Germany and Switzerland; from Hamburg or London a midsize jet gives more room for a week's luggage.
Which airport serves Mallorca?
Palma de Mallorca, the island's only airport, 15 minutes from the city and within an hour of every part of the island, from Port d'Andratx to Pollença. It takes every aircraft type and is open around the clock; in summer the slot and the parking are the things to secure early, and we do that with the flight.
How much does a private jet to Mallorca cost?
From about €7,500 one way from Milan or €8,500 from Zurich in a light jet, about €9,500 from Munich, €12,500 from Frankfurt and €15,500 from Hamburg in a midsize jet. The whole aircraft is priced, so a family of six pays the same as a couple. Empty legs between Germany and Palma are frequent from May to October.
How far in advance should I book?
A day or two for most of the year, often same-day. For a Saturday in July or August, two weeks secures a slot close to your time and a parking position for the stay; for the Christmas fortnight, a week is enough.
Can the aircraft wait on the island for the week?
Yes, with a parking position reserved in advance, which in August we confirm together with the flight. For a stay of a week or more it is sometimes cheaper to let the aircraft return home and fly out again for the pick-up; we quote both.
Can I combine Mallorca with Ibiza or Menorca?
Easily. Ibiza is 25 minutes by jet and Menorca 20, so an island itinerary runs on the same aircraft, or by helicopter between the islands in under an hour. Formentera is reached by boat from Ibiza.
Can my dog travel with me?
Yes, in the cabin on most aircraft. Within the EU a pet passport with a valid rabies vaccination is all that is needed; Switzerland's pet passport is accepted too, while from the UK an animal health certificate replaces it. Tell us when you ask for the quote and we confirm with the operator.
