Private Jet to Paris
Paris is Le Bourget: the busiest business aviation airport in Europe, thirty minutes from the Right Bank, open to every aircraft type and used by more private flights than any other field on the continent. An hour from London, six and a half from Dubai.
Which airport for Paris.
Le Bourget is the answer nine times in ten; Orly earns its place for the south-west of the city, and Charles de Gaulle only when the other two cannot take you.
| Airport | To the centre | Runway | Jets that fit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Paris-Le Bourget LBG | 12 km, 30 to 45 min to the Right Bank | 3,000 m | 70 of 70 VIP airliner |
| Paris-Orly ORY | 14 km, 30 to 40 min to the Left Bank | 3,650 m | 70 of 70 VIP airliner |
| Paris-Charles de Gaulle CDG | 25 km, 40 to 60 min to the centre | 4,215 m | 70 of 70 VIP airliner |
Paris-Le Bourget (LBG): Europe's busiest business aviation airport and the default for Paris: no scheduled flights, several FBOs with their own customs, handling for every aircraft up to airliner size. Night restrictions apply to jet departures, so late itineraries are planned around them.
Paris-Orly (ORY): The choice for the south and west of the city, Versailles and the Loire. Business aviation uses a dedicated terminal, slots are available, and the airport closes overnight.
Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG): Slot-constrained and built for airlines; used for private flights only when Le Bourget is shut by a curfew or an event, or when a passenger connects to a scheduled flight.
Rule of thumb: published take-off distance at maximum weight, sea level, a standard day and a dry runway. Altitude, weather and airport rules can still rule out an aircraft the runway allows. Check any airport in the runway checker

Indicative one-way prices for the whole aircraft, all-inclusive: crew, fuel, handling, landing fees and catering, from operator pricing seen by our desk in autumn 2026. Fashion Week, the Air Show year and Le Bourget's night rules can add positioning; a late-evening arrival sometimes prices better into Orly. A quote names the actual aircraft and holds the price.
Paris through the year.
Fashion Weeks. Late February into early March and late September into early October, plus haute couture in late January and early July. Le Bourget's parking fills, hotels on the Right Bank double, and a day either side of the shows is far easier.
Late May to early June. Roland-Garros: two weeks of steady demand from the whole of Europe, with slots still available but the best aircraft gone a week ahead.
June 2027. The Paris Air Show at Le Bourget, held every other year: for its week the airport's business traffic is squeezed to a minimum and most flights move to Orly. Plan Orly from the start.
October. The Arc de Triomphe weekend at Longchamp, the art fair at the Grand Palais and the autumn shows follow each other through the busiest month of the year for private arrivals.
August. Paris on holiday: the city is quiet, restaurants close in rotation, and the airport has slots and parking at any hour.
December. Christmas and New Year bring a short, intense peak; book by late November for the last week of the year.
Paris, in brief.
Where to stay
The palaces cluster on the Right Bank, 30 minutes from Le Bourget: the Ritz on Place Vendôme, Le Bristol and the Four Seasons George V off the Champs-Élysées, the Crillon on the Concorde, Cheval Blanc at La Samaritaine over the river. On the Left Bank, the Lutetia and the small hotels of Saint-Germain suit a quieter week. For Versailles, the Airelles at the château is the only hotel inside the grounds, and Orly is the closer airport.
What to do
Timed tickets save the day: the Louvre, the Musée d’Orsay, the Orangerie for the Water Lilies and the Eiffel Tower all sell out in advance in the season. Beyond the obvious, the Bourse de Commerce holds the Pinault collection, the Fondation Louis Vuitton sits at the edge of the Bois de Boulogne, and the Marais has the Picasso museum and the best Sunday afternoon in the city. Day trips: Giverny and Chantilly in under an hour, the Champagne houses at Reims in 90 minutes by road, the Loire châteaux by helicopter.
Getting around
A chauffeured car meets the flight at the FBO door. In the city, distances are short and the roads slow: walk the centre, use the car for evenings and for Le Bourget, where 30 minutes becomes 45 between 7 and 10 in the morning and 5 and 8 in the evening. The Métro is the fastest way across town at rush hour, if the party is small.
Good to know
Many restaurants close on Sunday and Monday, and the best tables are booked a month ahead; the concierge of a palace is the surest route. Shops shut on Sunday outside the tourist zones. August empties the city of Parisians and of some of its kitchens. France is on Central European Time, an hour ahead of London. Le Bourget’s customs handles non-EU arrivals in the terminal: a flight from London is an international arrival with passport control, which takes minutes in the FBO.
Before you fly to Paris.
How long is a private jet flight to Paris from London?
About 1 h 05 in a light jet from Luton, Farnborough or Biggin Hill to Le Bourget. Frankfurt and Zurich are about 1 h 05 too, Munich 1 h 25, Madrid just under two hours, Dubai about 6 h 30 non-stop in a heavy jet.
Which Paris airport do private jets use?
Le Bourget, almost always: no airline traffic, several terminals run by the handling companies, customs on site and a 30-minute drive to the Right Bank. Orly suits the south-west of the city and late arrivals after Le Bourget's night rules; Charles de Gaulle is for connections to scheduled flights.
How much does a private jet to Paris cost?
From about €5,000 one way from Brussels or €6,500 from London in a light jet, around €7,000 from Frankfurt, Milan or Nice, and about €55,000 from Dubai in a heavy jet. The whole aircraft is priced, not the seat, so a party of six pays the same as one.
How far ahead should I book?
Outside Fashion Week and the autumn peaks a day is enough, and same-day is often possible given how many aircraft are based around Paris. For the shows, the Arc weekend and Christmas, book two weeks ahead to keep the choice of aircraft and a parking position at Le Bourget.
Can I land at Le Bourget late at night?
Jet arrivals are possible through the evening, but departures are restricted overnight and some aircraft types are limited by noise category. If you plan to leave after 22:00 or arrive after midnight, your advisor checks the rules for the exact aircraft or routes you through Orly before its curfew.
Is there a helicopter from Le Bourget into Paris?
Not into the city itself: Paris has no public heliport inside the Périphérique, and the Issy heliport is for approved operations only. The practical answer is a car, 30 minutes to the Right Bank outside the rush hours; from Le Bourget a helicopter is useful for Chantilly, Deauville or the Loire châteaux.
Can I fly from Paris to Geneva or Nice on the same day?
Yes. Geneva is an hour and Nice 1 h 20 in a light jet, and both are routes we fly weekly; the aircraft can wait at Le Bourget for a meeting and continue, or we position a second jet if the timing is tight.
