Private Jet to Singapore

Singapore is the cleanest long-haul arrival in Asia: two airports, a dedicated business aviation terminal at each, visa-free entry for most European passports, and a direct flight of about thirteen hours from Europe in an ultra-long-range jet.

Airports

Which airport for Singapore.

Seletar for almost every arrival; Changi when the aircraft is an airliner-sized jet or needs full fuel for a non-stop flight back to Europe.

AirportTo the centreRunwayJets that fit
Seletar XSPAbout 20 km, 25 min to Marina Bay1,836 m 62 of 70 VIP airliner
Changi SINAbout 20 km, 20 min to Marina Bay4,000 m 70 of 70 VIP airliner
  • Seletar (XSP): Singapore's business aviation airport: its own FBOs, customs and immigration in the terminal, and none of Changi's airline traffic. The 1,836 m runway takes light, midsize and most heavy and long-range jets at normal weights; for a full-fuel non-stop back to Europe, or for airliner-sized VIP jets, Changi is the answer.

  • Changi (SIN): Business aviation clears through the JetQuay private terminal, away from the passenger halls. Slot-coordinated, so the operator applies early, but the choice when an ultra-long-range jet arrives direct from Europe and departs the same way.

Rule of thumb: published take-off distance at maximum weight, sea level, a standard day and a dry runway. Altitude, weather and airport rules can still rule out an aircraft the runway allows. Check any airport in the runway checker

Indicative one-way prices for the whole aircraft, all-inclusive: crew, fuel, handling, landing fees and catering. They reflect operator pricing seen by our desk in autumn 2026. Ultra-long-range flights from Europe are quoted individually, because crew duty limits can add a stop and a second crew; positioning, peak dates and Grand Prix week move the figures. A quote names the actual aircraft and holds the price.

When to Go

Singapore through the year.

Grand Prix, early October. The night race fills every hotel on Marina Bay and the parking at both airports. Book aircraft and a stand four to six weeks ahead; hotel rates for the week run at roughly double.

Chinese New Year. Falls on 6 February in 2027. Shops and many restaurants close for two days, regional flights to and from China are heavily booked, and the airports are busy the week before and after.

Year-round. About 30 °C every day, with November to January the wettest months and short, hard afternoon showers the rest of the year. There is no off-season for business travel.

August to October. In some years haze from regional fires lowers visibility for days at a time. Flights operate normally; outdoor plans may not.

Singapore Airshow. Held every other February, next in 2028. Changi's business aviation stands go to exhibitors that week; Seletar is the better arrival.

December. Marina Bay and Sentosa fill for Christmas and New Year, and the first week of January is a popular departure window back to Europe. Book both legs together.

In Brief

Singapore, in brief.

Where to stay

Marina Bay is the business address: Marina Bay Sands, the Fullerton and the Ritz-Carlton Millenia sit within walking distance of the financial district and 25 minutes from either airport. Orchard Road is the quieter, older-money end, with the Shangri-La, the Four Seasons and the St. Regis a few minutes from the shops. For a resort inside the city, Capella on Sentosa has its own hill, pool villas and a 35-minute drive to Seletar.

What to do

Singapore is compact and runs on time, so a two-day visit covers a lot. The Gardens by the Bay and the Supertree walkway are best after dark; the National Gallery and the Peranakan shophouses of Joo Chiat and Katong fill a morning; hawker centres such as Lau Pa Sat and Maxwell are where the city actually eats, and a chilli crab dinner on the East Coast is the one booking to make. Sentosa has the beaches and the golf, and the Night Safari at the zoo suits families once the heat drops.

Getting around

Both airports have cars at the terminal door, and traffic is light by Asian standards: Seletar to Marina Bay is 25 minutes at almost any hour, Changi 20 along the East Coast Parkway. Within the city, taxis and ride apps are cheap and plentiful, and the MRT is spotless if a guest wants to try it. Helicopter transfers are not part of the Singapore picture; the distances are too short and the airspace too tightly controlled.

Good to know

Singapore is seven hours ahead of central Europe in winter and six in summer. A morning departure from Europe lands early the next morning, so most clients prefer an afternoon departure that arrives in the Singapore morning after a night’s sleep on board. The rules are strict and famously enforced: no chewing gum, no vaping, no littering, and no tolerance at all for drugs. Alcohol is served everywhere licensed, and the Singapore dollar, cards and phone payments are accepted universally. Onward legs are what Singapore is for: Kuala Lumpur in 50 minutes, Phuket in under two hours, Bali in two and a half.

Questions

Before you fly to Singapore.

How long is a private jet flight to Singapore from Europe?

About thirteen hours direct from London and twelve from Frankfurt, Zurich or Milan in an ultra-long-range jet such as a Global 7500 or a Gulfstream G650. A heavy jet makes one technical stop, usually in the Gulf, which adds about ninety minutes. Crew duty limits mean a second crew on board for the longest sectors.

Which airport should I use for Singapore?

Seletar for almost every arrival: it is the dedicated business aviation airport, 25 minutes from Marina Bay, with customs and immigration in the terminal. Changi, through the JetQuay private terminal, when the aircraft is an airliner-sized jet or departs with full fuel for a non-stop flight to Europe.

How much does a private jet to Singapore cost?

From about €140,000 one way from Frankfurt and €150,000 from London in an ultra-long-range jet, and from about €62,000 from Dubai in a heavy jet. Regional legs are a different order: Hong Kong from about €32,000, Bangkok from about €14,500. The whole aircraft is priced, so the cost per seat falls with every passenger.

Do I need a visa for Singapore?

Citizens of the EU, the UK, Switzerland and the US enter visa-free for short stays. Everyone completes the SG Arrival Card online within three days before arrival; we remind you and can handle it for the passengers on the manifest. Immigration at Seletar or JetQuay takes minutes.

How far in advance should I book?

A week is comfortable for an ultra-long-range jet from Europe, because the right aircraft may have to position and the crew's rest has to be planned. Grand Prix week in October and the Christmas period need four to six weeks for a confirmed stand. Regional legs can often be arranged within a day.

Can I continue to Bali, Phuket or Kuala Lumpur on the same trip?

Yes. Singapore is the natural base for Southeast Asia: Kuala Lumpur is 50 minutes, Phuket about 1 h 45, Bali about 2 h 30. A light or midsize jet positioned in Singapore covers these legs at a fraction of the long-haul aircraft's cost; the long-range jet waits or returns.

What should I know about Singapore's rules?

They are strict and enforced: no chewing gum on sale, no vaping (e-cigarettes are confiscated on arrival), heavy fines for littering, and zero tolerance for drugs. Alcohol is sold normally in hotels and restaurants. None of it affects a well-briefed visitor; we brief the crew and passengers before departure.

Which hotels are closest to the airports?

Seletar has none nearby; the Marina Bay hotels (Marina Bay Sands, the Fullerton, the Ritz-Carlton Millenia) and the Orchard Road set (Shangri-La, Four Seasons, St. Regis) are 25 to 30 minutes from either airport. Capella and Sofitel on Sentosa are about 35 minutes.
